Wendys Lasagna Soup

l lb. hot italian(turkey) sausage
1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 c. onions, chopped
4 c. chicken broth plus 1/2 c. water
2 c. sliced mushrooms
2-3 c. baby spinach
1 lg. jar 3 cheese pasta sauce
Dash garlic powder
2 c. Mafalda pasta (uncooked)
1 c. lowfat cottage cheese
1/4 c. romano cheese, grated




Brown sausage and groud beef in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onions, saute 3 minutes. Stir in mushrooms and garlic powder and saute another 3 minutes. Add broth, pasta sauce, spinach, cottage cheese and the pasta. Bring to a boil and cook 10 minutes. Add Romano cheese and stir.
